R.T. ERDOGAN: TERRORISTS WILL CERTAINLY BE DETAINED AND PUNISHED
AZERTAG Istanbul-based correspondent reports that On November 20, at 23 o’clock Baku time, the terrorist acts committed near the English Bank in Istanbul and General Consulate of the Great Britain killed 27 and injured 500 people, while 30 people are badly wounded. Most of killed and wounded were Turkish citizens. The HBSC management stated the bank would not work for some time until security measures are taken. The statement was also circulated by the British Airways. Terrorist acts will not hinder the activity of the company, statement says.
Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan hosted a press conference. Having assessed the terrorist acts in Istanbul as misdeed committed by culprits, Prime Minister stressed that crimes committed during Holy Ramadan transgress the notion of humaneness and any religious. He said the terrorist would certainly be detained and punished within the law.
Following the terrorist acts, security measures were toughened before diplomatic offices in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir, offices of Foreign Banks and companies. Justice Minister Jamil Chichek said the terrorist acts are similar to those committed on November 15 near the synagogues.
