    River perch

    The river perch in the Caspian basin is associated primarily with the lower courses of all rivers and to a lesser extent their mouths.

    This is a slow and undemanding fish inhabiting water bodies both with and without drainage.

    The Perch is a predator. It feeds on plankton only within the first months after birth, and then young fish form the basis of its diet.
