Romania's "Agerpres" news agency highlights Nizami Ganjavi`s creativity

The Romanian Agerpres National News Agency has posted an article by Azerbaijani Ambassador to the country Huseyn Najafov headlined "Nizami Ganjavi - a prominent poet and thinker of Azerbaijan."

The article provides the detailed information about Nizami Ganjavi`s place and position in Azerbaijani, Eastern and world literature, the life and creativity of the great poet, especially the world-famous collection of poems "Khamsa".

The article emphasizes that Nizami Ganjavi's works have been translated into many languages, rare copies of manuscripts of his works are kept in world`s prestigious libraries and museums.

“In 2012, by the order of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Nizami Ganjavi International Center was created to introduce the legacy of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi to the world. In accordance with the 880th anniversary of the birth of Nizami Ganjavi, President Ilham Aliyev also signed a decree declaring 2021 as the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi" in Azerbaijan.
