SECURITY COUNCIL PROLONGED MANDATE OF UN MISSION IN GEORGIA
As provided by AzerTAj, referring to the official site of the United Nations, in unanimously adopted resolution, adherence of all member-states to principles of the sovereignty again proves to be true, independence and territorial integrity of Georgia within the limits of its internationally recognized borders and necessity of definition of the status of Abkhazia within the Georgian state in strict conformity with these principles.
The Security Council has expressed a regret concerning absence of negotiations about the political status and constant refusal of the Abkhazian side to agree for discussion of the document suggested by the United Nations "Main principles of differentiation of powers between Tbilisi and Sukhumi". Members of this organization have called both sides to start constructive negotiations and make all efforts for overcoming the existing mutual distrust.
In the adopted resolution, again it is reminded of the necessity of establishment of the person of those who bears the responsibility for destruction of employees of the United Nations on October 8, 2001, when the helicopter of the UN mission has been brought down.
