SEMINAR-EXHIBITION HELD IN LITHUANIA

A seminar-exhibition on the topic “Calligraphic art of Azerbaijan of Medieval Ages” on the initiative of the non-governmental organization “World of various cultures” under financial support of the Open Society Institute - “ Soros”, was held in Vilnius / Lithuania/.

The arrangement was attended by the head of Institute of Manuscripts after Mohammad Fizuli of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan / NAS/, researcher of the Institute Haji Muzafaddin Azizov and artist of marionettes theater Tarlan Gorchiyev.

Lithuanian specialists, students highly appreciated the report of M. Adilov on the subject “ History of Azerbaijan Literature of the Middle Ages, samples of handwritings in our manuscripts”, as well as samples of calligraphic art of Azerbaijan demonstrated by M. Azizov and T. Gorchiyev.
