On 15 October, under the presidency of Mazahir Panahov was held the session of the Central Election Commission.

Member of Commission Azer Tagiyev updated on violations of requirements of the Articles 74 and 90.2 of the Election Code of Azerbaijan Republic.

He said that on 14 October 2000, the State Television of the Islamic Republic of Iran "Seher-2" from 21.00 pm to 22.30 pm on Baku time, aired in the Azerbaijani language a special program, dedicated to the presidential elections in Azerbaijan. In this program, was demonstrated agitation material in favor of the registered as President candidate Isa Yunis oglu Gambar. Having discussed this issue, members of the Commission stated that though the Islamic Republic of Iran is a friendly and neighboring country to Azerbaijan, the "Seher-2" TV of this state roughly violated equipments of the Articles 74 and 90.2 of the Election Code of Azerbaijan Republic.

The Election Commission adopted a Statement in connection with these issues.

Then, member of the Central Election Commission Yusif Bagirzade updated on consideration of the appeal of five CEC members. The Commission decided to postpone discussion of this issue up to one of the next sessions.
