    SOCAR BECOMES GEORGIA`S BIGGEST TAXPAYER IN 2009

    Tbilisi, January 27 (AZERTAC). SOCAR Georgia has ranked first as the Georgia`s largest tax payer with 162,000,000 lari (1 US dollar=1.70 lari) paid in 2009.

    SOCAR Georgia representative Faig Guliyev said the company has taken the first place for the third time in a row. According to him, SOCAR is expanding its presence in Georgia in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev`s instructions. The company pumped $400,000,000 into the country`s economy. SOCAR currently has 29 filling stations here with 25 new ones to be built this year.
