    SOCAR INCREASES BUDGET PAYMENT

    Azerbaijan`s state oil company, SOCAR, said it transferred AZN 92,712,000 in taxes to the State Budget in January recording a 80.4 percent increase for the same period last year.

    The amount of taxes paid to the State Social Protection Fund made AZN 9,016,000, which is up 69.8 percent against the same period in 2007, SOCAR said.
