SOCAR holds meeting with participants of summer school 2013
Baku, October 21 (AZERTAC). A meeting with participants of the project entitled “SOCAR summer school – 2013” has been held at the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
President of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev congratulated the participants with the successful graduation. The participants received the certificates.
The school studies a wide range of issues, such as fundamentals of energy, energy law, economics and politics of energy, environmental impacts, and strategic management. A special focus of the program is on the Caspian Basin, including regional pipeline network development, geopolitics of the Caspian and its legal status, and the strategic outlook of SOCAR. Environmental issues, as well as revenue and resource management, are emphasized throughout the course of the program.
The Summer Energy School is designed for mid- and senior-level policy makers from a number of countries, energy company representatives, academic faculty members, journalists and young researchers focusing on energy, as well as representatives of regional and international organizations. The class is limited to 40 participants only.
The Baku Summer Energy School is interactive in its format and provides extensive opportunity for professionals in the field of energy to interact and build long-lasting ties.
