SOFAZ EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MEETS AMBASSADOR OF SWITZERLAND TO AZERBAIJAN

Shahmar Movsumov, the Executive Director of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) met with the ambassador of Switzerland to Azerbaijan Alain Guidetti.

During the meeting, Mr. Movsumov updated the guest on the activity of the State Oil Fund, projects financed by SOFAZ, informed about SOFAZ leading role in the process of application of Initiative of Transparency in Azerbaijan in the field of industry, engaged in extraction of mineral resources.

In his turn, the Ambassador congratulated Mr. Movsumov on awarding the State Oil Fund with the prestigious premium of the State Service of UNO for 2007 on the category “Promotion of Transparency, Accounting and Responsibility in the State Service”. Mr. Guidetti highlighted that the financing organizations of Switzerland are ready for cooperation with SOFAZ.
