SWEDISH PARLIAMENT REFUSES TO RECOGNIZE “ARMENIAN GENOCIDE”

The Swedish parliament, with a vote 245 to 37, rejected to recognize the so-called Armenian genocide on June 12. Parliamentarians based their decision upon the fact that “there is still disagreements among experts regarding the events happened in the Ottoman Empire in 1915. According to them, recognition of the “genocide” would have a negative impact on Turkey’s development.
