‘Situation on contact line remains tense but stable’, Defense Ministry

Baku, April 6, AZERTAC

The situation on the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops remains tense but stable, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.

Azerbaijan armed forces are strictly complying with the consent reached by the parties on April 5 at 12:00pm on the suspension of military operations along the contact line.

The Defense Ministry dismissed as baseless the Armenian reports that Azerbaijani armed forces allegedly violated the ceasefire regime several times after the parties agreed to suspend military operations along the contact line.

Such reports are aimed at paving the way for next provocations of Armenia and shifting responsibility on the Azerbaijani side for any incidents that may occur, the Defense Ministry said.
