Students of Baku Higher Oil School winning second national innovation contest receive awards

Students of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) have attended an award ceremony of the winners of the second national innovation contest titled “National Innovation Challenge Azerbaijan 2018”.
Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev presented the winners’ certificates and cash prize of 5,000 manats to the BHOS students who participated in the contest with ThermoNorth start-up project and took the first place.
Addressing the ceremony, BHOS student Alexander Oborovsky thanked all organizers of the event and expressed special gratitude to the Ministry of Economy. Then he and other BHOS team members including undergraduates Huseyn Aliyev, Elmar Asgarzade, Yadigar Nazarov, Murad Rahimov and their research supervisor, associate professor Amir Reza Vakhshouri made a presentation of the ThermoNorth project and highlighted its goals and objectives.
The second national innovation contest of Azerbaijan was jointly organized by the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences and United National Development Program (UNDP) in Azerbaijan. Nearly 220 projects were presented by young Azerbaijani researchers and scientists participating in the National Innovation Challenge Azerbaijan 2018.
