Baku, September 19 (AZERTAC). Supervisory Board of the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan (MCIT) has held its first meeting.
Minister Ali Abbasov said that specialized funds operating in the country have a positive impact on the development of business and private sector, and ICT projects and businesses will be financed as a result of the activities of the fund established under the MCIT.
Three documents were submitted to the Supervisory Board for discussion at the meeting, which was chaired by Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Valizadeh.
Stressing the importance of the documents they recommended preparing a final review of the board members for the approval of the documents. As a result of discussions held with the participation of members of the Supervisory Board, it was decided to consider the approval of the documents at the next meeting of the Supervisory Board.
For the purpose of coordinating the activities of the Supervisory Board, it was decided to elect the secretary of Supervisory Board. Thus, as a result of voting, ministry`s strategic planning, investment and scientific potential department adviser Rauf Jabbarov was elected the secretary of Supervisory Board.
In conclusion, the fund`s executive director Elchin Zeynalov informed the participants about the work carried out and future plans.
