Synergy Baku cyclist finishes 2nd in France

Matej Mugerli of the Synergy Baku Cycling Project has confirmed his excellent form by finishing second on the closing stage of the Tour de Bretagne and taking sixth place overall. He topped off an outstanding Tour de Bretagne, which saw the team take one stage win, two second places and one third place.
Mugerli put in a hat-trick of results, finishing first on stage two, second on stage seven, and third on stage five. Ioannis Tamouridis, who will also be riding the Tour d’Azerbaidjan, finished second on the fourth stage.
The Slovenian national champion attacked in the final kilometer to take second place behind the lone escapee who won the stage. Dennis van Winden, the only other Synergy Baku Cycling Project rider left in the race, took eighth place on the stage.
