TAP officials visit Azerbaijan Ministry of Industry and Energy

Baku, May 16 (AZERTAC). Trans Adriatic Pipeline external affairs director Michael Hoffman and government affairs advisor Tora Leifland Holmström have visited the Azerbaijan Ministry of Industry and Energy.

Azerbaijani deputy industry and energy minister Natig Abbasov informed the TAP officials on Azerbaijan`s achievements in the relevant sphere, discovering of new deposits and renovation of infrastructure. He also noted that the Azerbaijani government paid special attention to the development of energy sector.

The TAP officials noted that Azerbaijan played an important role in the European energy security, stressing the significance of strengthening cooperation.

They also discussed prospect for cooperation between the TAP consortium and Azerbaijan.
