TRAINING ON TEA-GROWING DEVELOPMENT HELD IN ASTARA
In frame of the project “Private sector development”, the Ministry for Economic Development and Technical Cooperation Society of Germany /GTZ/ held training for landowners engaged in tea-growing, AzerTAj correspondent reports.
Prospects of development of tea growing in the Southern region of Azerbaijan, work carried out by the government, as well as use of foreign countries experience were in the focus of arrangement.
Economist of the project Florien Schroeder dwelt on measures to be carried out within a year.
The experts of Sri Lanka told on experience in the field of development of tea growing, explained rules of growing, cultivation and leaf-cutting, and answered the farmers questions.
A documentary on prospects of tea-growing development was demonstrated.
The guests also familiarized the training participants with the principles of work of Japanese tea-leaf cutting machines.
