TURKEY REVERES BRIGHT MEMORY OF OUR NATIONWIDE LEADER HEYDAR ALIYEV

The bright memory of our nationwide leader, the great son of Turkish world, President Heydar Aliyev was revered on January 18, in the mosques of Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Buras and a number of other Turkish cities, where priors for the repose of his soul were said.

According to AzerTAJ correspondent in Turkey, a commemoration ceremony on the occasion of the 40th day after demise of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, was held in the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ankara.

The ceremony was attended by workers of science and art, residing and working in Ankara, as well as Azerbaijani students, studying here.

After the memory of President Heydar Aliyev was honored with a minute of silence, Ambassador Mammad Aliyev told opening the ceremony about invaluable services of the wise political figure of our epoch Heydar Aliyev and specially emphasized the fruitful activity and role of this outstanding person in recognition of Azerbaijan and its prestige in the international community.

On the same day, commemoration ceremony for the world-known political figure, leader of Turkish world Heydar Aliyev was held in General Consular of Azerbaijan in Istanbul. The event was attended by our compatriots living in Istanbul, students and representatives of Azerbaijan and Turkish mass media.

The ceremony participants honored the bright memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev with a minute of silence. Consular General Ibrahim Yagubov dwelt on Heydar Aliyev’s course of life, whose words “ We are one nation, two states” had become an aphorism both Azerbaijan and Turkey, whose deeds had become a legend, as well as his wide, fruitful activity and steadfast will.

In conclusion, in accordance with our peoples’ traditions and customs, ayahs from the Koran were read out and ehsan given.
