TURKPA Gathers Leaders of the Future in Istanbul
Istanbul, October 15 (AZERTAC). Istanbul hosts an International Forum “Role of Youth Leadership In Development Process of Interstate Cooperation” organized by the Parliament Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TURKPA) International Secretariat.
Parliamentarians, diplomats, bureaucrats, representatives of international and non-governmental organizations from 25 countries including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, European Parliament, Russia, Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Pakistan, Iraq and Morocco will participate at the Forum.
The aim of the Conference is to bring together young leaders from various countries to build personal network and conduct a dialogue, promote cooperation among the countries of the region with different culture, religion and traditions, realize potential of youth to establish a common future in solidarity and promote values coming from common history, culture and geography.
Speaking in the opening ceremony of the forum TURKPA Secretary General Ramil Hasanov said that the forum will be one of the main factors in the development of the interstate cooperation and relations.
Most of the young attending in the event will work in different state management bodies and it will create opportunities to cooperate with their colleagues.
Mehmet Saglam, Vice- Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, stated that the Nagornoy Karabakh problem is one of the significant problems in the Turkey’s agenda. Ankara will try for the settlement of this problem within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov in his speech spoke about the youth policy, and care and attention of Azerbaijani government to the young. He highlighted the importance of the cooperation between the youth of the Turkic speaking countries.
Representatives of different governmental bodies participated in the discussions.
At the end of the International Forum, adoption of the common Appeal of participants is expected with the view to announce the call of young leaders for peace and development in the region, resolution of problems without use of force and to create a region of friendship and fraternity house through joint efforts of traditional and parliamentary diplomacy.
