Baku, February 10, AZERTAC

The Shiseido Corporation, Japan's largest, intends by 2020 to run a robotic factory for the production of cosmetics, the Rambler News Service said. It is expected that the plant will be built near the city of Osaka, the approximate cost of its construction — $ 340 million.

Through the use of specialized equipment the company expects to reduce costs and increase production by 50 percent.

"In Japan there is no extra labor force. Japan will increase the joint production with the use of machines and manpower in the medium and long term," commented the economist of the Japan research Institute Hisashi Yamada.

Shiseido is the oldest cosmetic company: it was founded by Arinobu Fukuhara (Fukuhara Arinobu) in 1872. Now the Corporation, which is present in more than 70 countries, employs about 29 thousand people.
