The Pentagon begins evacuation of military equipment from Afghanistan air base
Baku, February 11 (AZERTAC). The U.S. military has begun to evacuate military technology and equipment from U.S. Air Force base in Bagram district of Parwan province, Afghanistan, according to a Pakistani TV channel Geo News.
As reported in an interview to a representative of the Pakistan Customs Bilal custom clearance company Fawad Khan (Fawad Khan), in complete secrecy the first 25 `containers passed through Afghanistan and crossed into Pakistan through the Afghan border town of Torkham. After customs clearance caravan heavy trucks went to the Pakistani port of Karachi.
According to Khan, soon the second convoy of heavy trucks with U.S. military equipment from Bagram Air will arrive in Pakistan through Torkham checkpoint.
Afghan Defense Ministry said on Saturday that a prison for criminals on the U.S. air base at Bagram on Monday to pass completely under the jurisdiction of Afghanistan and that the Afghan side will be given all the prisoners in the American part of the prison. The Americans continue to hold in their detention facilities at Bagram about 600 Afghan prisoners.
According to observers, the U.S. military command will intensify efforts to prepare for the withdrawal of its troops from Afghanistan.
