Toplan Homeless Dog Care Center, supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Baku City Executive Authority, has hosted an event marking the International Animal Protection Day.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union Leyla Aliyeva attended the event.
Participants in the event included animal rights defenders, children from orphanages and boarding schools, and children with special needs, as well as schoolchildren and students.
The event participants familiarized themselves with the measures taken by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Baku City Executive Authority as part of the project to improve care for homeless dogs.
The event then featured an entertainment program for children.
