Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday beat Manchester City 1-0 in a home match in the English Premier League as Spurs' forward Harry Kane became the London club's all-time top scorer, according to Anadolu Agency.

In the 15th minute of the match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg intercepted a ball to pass it to the English forward Kane. The 29-year-old was open to score in the area.

A longtime Spurs player, Kane scored his 267th goal to be his club's all-time top scorer, beating ex-Tottenham Hotspur forward Jimmy Greaves, who died in 2021.

Kane also joins the English top-flight league's 200 club after Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney.

He is now the third player to score 200 Premier League goals.

England's Shearer scored 260 goals to be the Premier League's all-time highest scorer, while his compatriot Rooney had 208 goals. Both have retired.

Tottenham Hotspur are fifth with 39 points in 22 matches.

The point gap between leaders Arsenal and second-placed Man City was secured.

On Saturday, Everton shocked Arsenal 1-0 at home. Manchester City returned home empty handed over a 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal have 50 points to stay on top, while Man City are following the Gunners with 45 points.

Third-placed Manchester United are three points behind their archrivals in the league table.
