Turkey to set up national stand at Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair
Baku, August 31 (AZERTAC). Turkey will set up its national stand at next year`s Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair, said Cumhur Guven Tasbasi, promotion director at the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry.
He said Turkish companies are already preparing for the fair to be held next April.
Tasbasi said the ministry participated in international tourism fairs in several countries every year to promote touristic and historical attractions in Turkey.
"The number of foreign tourists visiting Turkey rose by 12.58 percent year-on-year in the first six months of 2011. Turkey`s tourism incomes also increased by 21.5 percent year-on-year in the first six months of 2011."
"We will join Lucerne Tourism Fair between January 6 and 8, a fair in Warsaw between January 27-29, Azerbaijan International Tourism and Travel Fair in Baku on April 12-14, 2012 and a fair in Kazakhstan between April 25 and 27, 2012," he said.
Accrding to him, Culture and Tourism Ministry will represent Turkey in several exhibitions in 62 countries including Germany, France, Italy, Britain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United States, Spain, Japan, Austria, Romania, Denmark, Luxembourg, Norway, Russia, China, Greece, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Iran and India in 2012.
