A two-day seminar for people who will work as volunteers at the 2nd European Games 2019 took place in Minsk. The seminar was arranged by the Directorate of the 2nd European Games 2019 and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Office in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the directorate.
Experts working at the UNICEF headquarters and the UNICEF Office in Belarus shared their best practices and knowledge of global volunteering. Taking part in the event were representatives of national sports federations and regional sports officials.
Minsk will host the 2nd European Games on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 199 medal events in 15 sports. Competitions in eight sports will serve as qualifiers for the Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo.
