UP TO 133 THOUSAND 600 OF AZERBAIJANIS LIVE IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES
The number of Azerbaijanis living in the CIS and foreign countries has been determined as a result of a joint actions held by the city and district police organs, municipalities, and local executive powers’ employees.
AzerTAj was informed by the Minister of Internal Affairs, general-colonel Ramil Usubov. As a result of this actions, up to 133 thousand 600 citizen of Azerbaijan, registered in different areas of Azerbaijan, but living abroad, have been discovered. Actually, these people were permanently residing in the former USSR republics, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and others, he said. These republics registered them later as their citizens; so, they cannot be considered as citizens of Azerbaijan.
