Baku, February 6, AZERTAC
A closing ceremony of the FilmAct short-documentary film festival has been held at the Landmark Hotel.
The event featured the awards ceremony of the best films from an outstanding group of projects that illustrated important social issues, including mental health, gender based discrimination, and disability rights.
The three-day event was organized by Y-PEER Azerbaijan, with financial support from the U.S. Embassy and Baku IdeaLab. The project provided a number of young people with opportunities to improve their film-making skills and increased social networking and community building in a creative way.
Y-PEER Azerbaijan experts trained 45 young people in Balakan, Barda, and Baku in September-November 2018, who by using their skills developed plans and shot ten films.
