Uludag Economy Summit starts in Turkey

The prestigious Uludag Economy Summit has started in Bursa, where several international and domestic business delegates as well as key political figures attended panel discussions during two days on the theme of doing business in a digital world.
The summit, which was organized by the Capital and Ekonomist magazines, has been held every year since 2012.
Among the participants are Jean Claude Trichet, former head of the European Central Bank; Jared Cohen, director of Google Ideas; Kai Georg Diekman, editor-in-chief of Germany's Bild newspaper; Ali Babacan, deputy prime minister; Mehmet Şimşek, finance minister; Ümit Boyner, CEO of Boyner Holding; Muharrem Yılmaz, chairman of Sütaş Group, Cansen Başaran-Symes, newly elected president of the Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (TÜSİAD), Tankut Turnaoğlu, P&G Turkey chairman, and İbrahim Çanakçı, a Turkish executive director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Since 2012, the summit has welcomed 105 politicians, 1,700 businesspeople and 422 media personnel from various countries.
