Vienna, November 19 (AZERTAC). The European Union - Central Asia energy finance & investment summit 2011 has been held in Vienna, Austria.
The event brought together EU`s officials, financial institutions, investment and private equity firms, delegations from Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Iran.
The summit explored the role and opportunities of Central Asia on the global and EU`s energy markets.
Highest level of speakers from across the globe delivered knowledge and insights on the listed above matters unavailable elsewhere. Taking a practical approach, the Summit enabled attendees and speakers to explore major issues and provided unparalleled networking opportunities to build personal relationship with key business and political decision-makers to explore future opportunities for business development and expansion.
Head of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) representative office in Austria Gulmirza Javadov delivered a speech on “Oil and gas industry of Azerbaijan: current state and prospects” at the event.
Then, the summit participants watched a documentary on Azerbaijan`s oil and gas industry and SOCAR-implemented projects.
