WINNERS OF BAKU INTERNATIONAL CARICATURE CONTEST DEFINED

As stated by AzerTAj, 1st Baku International Caricature Contest, announced last year by National Olympic Committee (NOC) in connection with forthcoming summer Olympic games in Athens ended.

70 painters - caricaturists from 25 world countries, who have sent about 300 works, took part at the competition on sports subject. Nine judges under the chair of vice- president of NOC Chingiz Huseynzadeh, have determined the winners. Polish caricaturist Yaroslav Yarovski took the first place, while the second and third places were taken by Ukrainian caricaturist Vladimir Kazanevski and English caricaturist Alexey Talimonov.

Awarded were fifteen more painter-caricaturists. Among them are two Azerbaijani nationals - Hafiz Nasiroglu and Yashar Samadov.
