WOMEN TO TAKE ACTIVE PART IN COMING PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

At the initiative of the Republican Youth Organization’s Propaganda Group “Presidential Elections -2003” a round table discussion related to “Women’s Role in Elections” has been held at the International Press Center.

The meeting participants focused on socio-political activity of women in Azerbaijan, the purposeful policy carrying out by the government in the sphere of women’s rights protection, attention to and care shown about the women's work for the last years. They mentioned that the Azerbaijani woman regardless of her education or occupation must be active, fearlessly express her opinion while making decisions of nation-wide significance. It was stressed with confidence that our women, taking active part in the upcoming presidential elections, would enlist the efforts for other voters to arrive at the polling stations.
