MEETING OF PRIME MINISTER ILHAM ALIYEV WITH IRANIAN MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS KAMAL HARRAZI

In the afternoon, Prime Minister Ilham Aliyev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Kamal Harrazi. At the meeting held in cordial atmosphere, the parties shared their views on a number of issues of mutual interest; spoke on the ways of expansion of relations between the two countries. It was stressed that the relations between the two countries have been recently raised to a higher level after reciprocal visits of Iranian and Azerbaijani high officials.

The existing economic relations, importance of expansion of cooperation, especially in the field of power energy and a few concrete projects were discussed in this context. Besides, the parties touched upon the negotiation process on determination of the Caspian status and underlined the necessity of the soonest progress on this issue.

In addition, Prime Minister Ilham Aliyev and the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Kamal Harrazi exchanged opinions on the state of regional security.
