WSIS HELD A CONFERENCE ON AZERBAIJAN

A conference dedicated to the preparation of Azerbaijan to the World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) to be held by UN and International Tele-Communications Union on 10-12 December, was held at the State Student Admission Commission.
National coordinator of the joint Program being realized by the Azerbaijan Government and UNDP for development of Information-Communication Technologies (ICT), Ms. Maleyka Abbaszade spoke of the preparation of Azerbaijan to the World Summit on Information Society.
The orator dwelt on the “National Strategy of Azerbaijan on information-communication technologies for 2003-2004” and “National program of activity on the ICT development” also commented the main principles of information society and its creation.
Then, Ms. Abbaszade responded media representatives.
