The fastest mobile network in Azerbaijan provides the fastest mobile internet services at the fastest street circuit in Formula 1
Bakcell, the First Mobile Operator and Fastest Mobile Internet Provider in Azerbaijan, implemented special preparation works with regard to the upcoming Formula 1 SOCAR Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2019.
According to the terms of the agreement signed between Bakcell and Baku City Circuit Operations Company (BCC), Bakcell will support the next 3 F1 races in Baku. Thus, under this agreement the Bulvar Grandstand is named after Bakcell and was decorated with all visual branding elements associated with the sponsor company. Moreover, there is a designated Bakcell area inside Formula 1’s Fan Zone at the Baku Boulevard, where the company holds various entertaining activities for the guests. The company will also introduce its products to spectators at the F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix within public places of the circuit throughout the event.
In addition to that, Bakcell held special contests among the subscribers on its social media pages, and presented more than 150 tickets for F1 races and entertainment activities to the winners.
Being the first official supporter of the Formula 1 SOCAR Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2019, Bakcell has optimized the capacity of its 2G, 3G and 4G networks to the maximum extent in the center of Baku and especially at the race related areas. The state-of-the-art LTE-A network, able to provide mobile internet speed of up to 225 Mbps was brought to readiness on the territory of Baku and Absheron peninsula. In order to meet extensive traffic consumption demands in usage of the mobile services (mobile voice and data transmission) during the race, Bakcell has installed 7 latest mobile base stations at the seaside boulevard. Moreover, designated personnel of Bakcell will monitor the network and other technology matters 24/7. Bakcell call center will also work in a reinforced mode 24/7 to respond to all mobile communication related questions of the country’s guests and local residents.
