A movie city is planned to be created in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region

In order to attract foreign film companies and film studios to the Republic of Uzbekistan, it is planned to create a cinema city with an area of at least 50 hectares in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region, according to Uz Daily.
According to the draft "road map" for the implementation of the Strategy for the Development of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, it is planned to study the world experience and develop a concept for a cinema city with the involvement of foreign experts in its organization and operation in 2022.
It is planned at a high level to organize screenings and promotion of national films in the country, popularize films and create a national film distribution network.
At the same time, the work schedule of "Kinokaravan" will be approved in the context of each region (city) of the country. An advertising campaign will be systematically organized, world experience will be applied, cinemas in the country will be connected to a single network. Films will be delivered online, shown and counted.
In addition, a national animation industry will be formed and actively developed in the republic. A film studio "Uzbekmultfilm" will be created under the Agency of Cinematography, the activities of which will be based on world experience with the involvement of local and foreign specialists. Also, negotiations will be held with foreign animation studios in order to exchange experience in training specialists, training courses will be organized.
