Antalya, April 17, AZERTAC
The fifth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held under the theme “Mapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties,” featured a panel discussion on “The Role of Regional Ownership in a Transforming World.”
Moderated by Adnan Nawaz, presenter at TRT World, the panel heard remarks by Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo; Evariste Ndayishimiye, Chairperson of the African Union and President of Burundi; Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of Türkiye; Félix Ulloa Jr., Vice President of El Salvador; and Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration.
According to the speakers, as global governance becomes increasingly polarized and fragmented, managing uncertainties requires innovative and forward-looking approaches. In this context, they described regional ownership as one of the key catalysts for addressing shared challenges. From conflict management to economic connectivity, regional platforms can generate practical and context-sensitive solutions where global mechanisms fall short.
