Aydin Karimov: More than 20 historical monuments, including 5 mosques, have been restored in Shusha

“More than 20 historical monuments, including five mosques, have been restored in Shusha. New hotels, museums, and recreational venues that contribute to the development of tourism in the city are being opened. In the first 10 days of this month alone, the number of visitors to the city exceeded 25,000,” said Aydin Karimov, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district, in his speech at the international conference on “The New World Order: Geopolitical Aspects and Global Challenges.”
Karimov noted that nearly 200 students are currently studying at a newly built school in Shusha. “A modern treatment and wellness center has also been inaugurated. One of the most important projects is the construction of new residential apartments for the residents of Shusha. A total of 1,409 former internally displaced persons have already settled in the first residential complex, which consists of 23 newly built apartment buildings. In the coming months, construction of three more residential complexes comprising 45 multi-apartment buildings will begin in the city,” he added.
