Azerbaijan has positioned itself as a highly responsible country on a global scale, says MP

“Azerbaijan has managed to assert itself in the international arena as a responsible country,” said Malik Hasanov, MP of Milli Majlis.
According to him, by the number of attendees the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change can compete with the UN General Assembly.
He also described Baku’s hosting of COP29 as a significant indicator of Azerbaijan’s increasing authority in the international arena.
The MP said that the appeal of a group of senators to the US Secretary of State, as well as the prejudiced resolution of the European Parliament, entitled “The Situation in Azerbaijan, Violation of Human Rights and International Law, and Relations with Armenia”, ahead of COP29, are an integral part of the biased campaign against Azerbaijan.
“Azerbaijan is now in the world’s spotlight with the capital city of Baku and the liberated Azerbaijani districts fully geared up for hosting the prestigious COP29 conference,” the MP added.
