Azerbaijan is waiting for results of talks which OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs will hold in Yerevan, said Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov on Tuesday.
The official Baku supports continuation of discussions in accordance with international norms, he added.
Concerning Madrid proposals, the Azeri Deputy FM noted they reflect main principles on settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and that the discussions will continue until an agreement is achieved based on these principles.
Azimov reiterated the proposals made in Madrid are now the main subject of discussion between mediators and the conflicting sides, and added Baku`s stance is unchangeable.
After meeting with Azeri officials, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs left for Yerevan and met with President of Armenia on January 15.
The co-chairs will visit Wednesday the occupied region of Nagorno-Karabakh.
On January 18, they must return to Baku to inform the Azerbaijani authorities about the outcomes of their talks in Armenia.
