Azerbaijani Culture Center in Tashkent sends letter of protest to embassy of France in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, January 27 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan Culture Center in Tashkent sent a letter of protest to the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan expressing its objection against the unfair decision adopted by the French Senate.
The letter states that the Azerbaijanis living in Uzbekistan condemn the decision of the French Senate to penalize negation of the so-called “Armenian genocide” and calls it absurd. “The deputies and senators have made a political fault that will lead to negative results”, the letter says.
“Lifting the historical events happened 100 years ago the French Senate turns a blind eye to the genocide the Armenians committed in Azerbaijani town of Khojaly in the latest period. The Armenian gunmen have wiped off a whole city in a night on February 26, 1992, and annihilating men, women, children.
Or, how could the French Senate forget the massacre of 45 Algerians in 1945, and murder of 800 citizens of Rwanda?” the letter asks.
The letter ends with the words: “This is nothing bit political trade and would only aggravate the fragile stability between France and Turkey, and also situation the Caucasus region”.
