Azerbaijan’s pavilion installed at Bonn Climate Camp supporting NGOs of Global South

Azerbaijan has installed a national pavilion under the theme “Green World: Nature and Culture” at the Bonn Climate Camp, held on the margins of the June Climate Meetings in Bonn, Germany.
The pavilion is dedicated to supporting non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from the Global South.
“The Global South NGO Platform was launched a few months ago at Azerbaijan’s initiative, with the participation of 116 countries. Azerbaijan currently chairs the platform for a one-year term,” said Nadima Rahimli, Deputy Chairman of the “For the Social Welfare of Citizens” Public Union.
“We are here to support public unions from the Global South. The UN will host the first side event dedicated to the Global South in a few days,” she added.
Rahimli also provided a detailed overview of the pavilion, noting that many visitors had also attended the COP29 Conference in Baku and were sharing their positive impressions of the event.
