AZERI-RUSSIAN JOINT COMMISSION ON DELIMITATION AND DEMARCATION OF STATE BORDERS WRAPS UP 12TH SESSION
The 12th session of the joint commission of Azerbaijan and Russia on delimitation and demarcation of state borders between the two countries wrapped up at Gulistan Palace of Baku, 28 March.
Commenting the results of session, Khalaf Khalafov, deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan, head of the state commission from the Azerbaijan side, said that the discussions mainly revolved around three items. Though general results were not reached, there is some rapprochement in positions. The next meeting probably will take place in Russia to continue the discussions. The expert groups will carry out certain discussions to make closer the made suggestions. The Commission will go on to find solution to the unsolved questions between the sides, the Deputy Foreign Minister said.
Alexander Yakovenko, the head of the Commission on Russian side, was also optimistic for the results of discussions.
