Baku hosts conference on "Women, peace and security: Women’s role in post-conflict reconstruction"

Co-organized by the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) and the UN Office in Azerbaijan, a conference on "Women, peace and security: Women’s role in post-conflict reconstruction" has today kicked off in Baku. The event aims to create a platform for interaction, exchange of ideas and experiences in this field and to form new ways to promote activities on women's, peace and security agenda in Azerbaijan.
Moderated by Chairman of the Board of the Center of Analysis of International Relations Farid Shafiyev, the opening ceremony will hear speeches by Assistant to the First Vice President, Ambassador Elchin Amirbayov, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Bahar Muradova, Chair of the Milli Majlis Commitee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Hijran Huseynova.
