BP Azerbaijan has said work to complete interpretation of seismic dataset for Shafag-Asiman block will require some 18 months. “This work will require some 18 months to complete and will be followed by another year required for planning of the first exploration well.”
“We also signed a new exploration contract with SOCAR in 2014 to jointly explore for and develop potential prospects in the shallow water area around the Absheron Peninsula in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea,” the company said.
