Brazilian professor expresses gratitude to Azerbaijan for active involvement in COP30 preparations

Bonn, June 18, AZERTAC
“I had a very good impression from the COP29 Conference in Baku. I would like to congratulate the government of Azerbaijan for hosting an excellent conference. I have really enjoyed my staying in Baku for two weeks. Of course, we need to push for implementing all the discussions held in Baku,” Andrea Souza Santos, Brazilian climate expert told AZERTAC during the June Climate Meetings in Bonn.
Highlighting the key decisions adopted during the COP29, Professor Andrea Santos underscored the challenges ahead of the “Baku to Belem Roadmap”
“For me, the biggest challenge we are facing is transitioning the pledges made in Baku into actions. As the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said, it is time to take action. I hope that our COP in Brazil will also be a success,” the expert noted.
Touching upon the hospitality of the Azerbaijani people during COP29, Andrea Santos added, “Brazilians are also very friendly, just like Azerbaijanis. The roadmap, which is currently underway, is of great importance. I express gratitude to Azerbaijan for its collaboration in this process.”
