Brazilian radio stations air programs on composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli and National Music Day

Nova Brasil, one of Brazil’s leading radio stations, aired a program dedicated to the founder of Azerbaijani classical music, Uzeyir Hajibeyli, and to September 18 – National Music Day. The program, presented by journalist Barbara Lins, featured Rashad Novruz, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Brazil, as a guest.
Rashad Novruz highlighted Azerbaijan’s national and cultural history, the life and work of the great composer, and his invaluable contributions to professional music.
Barbara Lins noted that, despite its geographical distance, Azerbaijan - with its rich national and cultural heritage - attracts strong interest among the Brazilian public. She also recalled that during the COP29 events held last year, people worldwide had the opportunity to closely discover this powerful country.
The program concluded with a performance of “Arazbari,” one of the unforgettable symphonic mugham works of the great composer.
