BSTDB Vice President: Mutual support is the foundation of regional stability and development

“The economic well-being and mutual interests of our countries have always been a priority for us. Development and progress are only possible through transparent and mutually trusting cooperation. Our Bank continues its operations based on these principles and in line with its core mandate,” said Ziya Aliyev, Vice President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), during the 65th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) held at the Milli Majlis on June 18.
He noted that despite recent geopolitical tensions in the Black Sea region, the area has demonstrated remarkable economic resilience and adaptability. This, he emphasized, once again proves that joint efforts and mutual support form the foundation of regional stability and development.
Ziya Aliyev also outlined the Bank's priorities for 2025–2026, stating that BSTDB aims to elevate its activities and implement new projects with a strong socio-economic impact across the region.
“The projects supported by BSTDB have contributed positively to the economic structure of the region. Among the investments backed by the Bank, key sectors include tourism, transport, real estate, green finance, and the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Our commitment to sustainable development is not merely declarative - it is supported by tangible results,” he added.
