CEC delegation to participate in foundation of Consultative Platform of Central Electoral Bodies of OTS Member States

An Azerbaijani delegation led by Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov has embarked a visit to the city of Turkistan, Kazakhstan.
The visit, taking place at the invitation of Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan Nurlan Abdirov, will begin with the Azerbaijani delegation’s participation in the signing ceremony for the founding document of the Consultative Platform of the Central Electoral Bodies of the OTS Member States.
The document aims to further strengthen relations among the electoral management bodies of the OTS member states and to expand mutually beneficial cooperation through the exchange of experience.
The delegation will also participate in the International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “The Turkic World: Traditions, Practice, and Prospects for the Development of Electoral Systems.”
The Azerbaijani CEC delegation also includes Deputy Chairman of the Commission Rovzat Gasimov and Deputy Head of the Commission’s Secretariat Hasan Kazimzade.
The visit will also feature meetings with the heads of the central electoral authorities of the OTS member states and other officials, as well as detailed discussions on inter-agency cooperation and matters of mutual interest.
