Coal miner killed, 12 trapped in mine due to gas blast in Pakistan

In southwest Pakistan, a gas explosion in a coal mine claimed the life of one miner and left a dozen others trapped underground.
According to local government and rescue officials in Balochistan province, rescue operations are ongoing in the Singidi area, where at least 12 miners remain trapped.
Authorities launched the operation early in the morning after the explosion occurred late last night. Rescuers are currently removing debris to save the lives of the trapped miners.
A spokesperson for the provincial government stated that all available resources are being utilized to ensure the miners' rescue.
The Balochistan government has ordered an investigation to determine the cause of the blast.
