CONSIDERABLE CONTRIBUTION TO SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE POPULATED AREAS ALONG THE BTC PIPELINE
Press-service of BP tol AzerTac correspondent, out of 30 proposals submitted in this connection from local and international organizations, those from FINCA Azerbaijan, “International Rescue Committee”, “Save the Children” and “International Medical Corps” have been accepted. The program is to embrace 82 settlements along the pipelines and directed to realization of the projects on profit earning, agricultural and social infrastructure, and enlightenment in the sphere of healthcare.
British Petroleum and its partners on BTC and South Caucasus pipelines projects are expected to spend $8 million in the framework of the Social Investment Program, and $2 million for the environment protection.
The program will run until 2006.
